-use impersonal (=απρόσωπες) words, such as:

One, someone, people, the public, viewers, passengers, students, teenagers

4) Your topic sentences must be general(=γενικές) and cover the whole of the paragraph. For example, in the following paragraph

 

‘It is believed that minor offenders stand a bigger chance of becoming law-abiding citizens if they are kept out of prison. If they go to prison, they will have to become hardened criminals because of the people in there.’

 

The topic sentence is NOT good because

-it is too long

-it is specific (=συγκεκριμένη) and it is not a topic sentence.It is one of the main ideas of the paragraph.A good topic sentence for this paragraph would be
